Going to the Races?

Just as flowers and new buds and growth spring up over the land, so do a few rumours from the Holds. Good rumours! There are talks that Fort Sea Hold is in negotiations to hold a Gather. Not just any Gather however: this one will host several runner races and other events! This as prompted much interest from several holds in Fort's region, but word has spread well beyond its boundaries. Now there is word whispered that other locations about Pern are also catching on and sending in their interest.

Does that mean there's a possible racing circuit about to commence? It seems likely, with the starting point being Fort Sea Hold! Which means ample work for the Weyr and good income for the Holds. Now folks are just hoping luck holds out!
