Fort Weyr - Cavern of Pillows

This enormous cavern stretches on into the darkness, its walls bare and grey, the domed ceiling dissapearing in shadow. Save for the noise made by those who enter, it is utterly silent here, and even then the echoes that bounce off the cold stone are muffled by the floor. For the ground is covered in.. pillows. Dusty and old, pillows of every shape and size have been piled high, along with folded blankets, sheets, curtains, and other textiles. Rolls of fabric, their colors faded from age, have been stacked here and there, and the occasional bag or leather item is visible amongst the other things. There must be thousands of items in here, stored away for the weyr's use and then forgotten.

While she might normally take advantage of her 'optional' chore day by claiming a shift in the infirmary, today is just a slightly different day. Early afternoon finds Galina in the fabric-filled storage area, assisting in inventorying and sorting goods that have long gone dusty through the turns … but, also, on the look-out for something or another all the while. She's somewhere toward the back where several stacks of goods have been left untouched, working silently and out of sight, while Cyanosis gambols about among the pillows and things.

A tall figure makes his way through the doors, the eyes of the young man can barely be seen. When he enters his eyes turn not to the healer, but towards the walls and the pillows, drapes, and fabrics all around. Though then he turns his gaze down onto Galina, Sado pauses a moment and then says. "There are so many interesting things down here…..I've been searching all around…..and still there is more to find." His tone is so dry, still he has not learned to communicate very well, or just choose not to. "Have you explored this place much." The stoic expression turns from her to view the room once again.

Like as not, Cyanosis alerted her to Sado's presence when he arrived, so when he speaks, she doesn't need to look up to confirm who it is. She's standing, tucked away in a particular nook filled with odd bags of filling and other scattered odds and ends of the sort that aren't commonly needed. A few marks are made on the papers clipped to her clipboard, a count of this or that being made and recorded. "Yes," is Galya's reply, blandly offered though it may be. "But I have been at the Weyr for some time; it would be difficult not to have seen most of it by now."

"Have you searched these tunnels much?" The young man's eyes shift towards her only for a moment before he turns around, he notes the little one and says. "Cyanosis." Sado reaches into his pocket and pulls a small pouch, he reaches in and pulls out a nice piece of dried meat. "Cyanosis." He says again placing it in his palm and waiting for him. "Have you found every secret these tunnels have to hide?

The blueling chitters a bit, bounding across the pillows and fabric to come to a skidding halt nearby. There's a bit of a warble from Cyanosis, a curious cocking of his head, and he soon reaches out with dainty talons to claim the offered bit of meat. Galina, however, just rolls a narrow shoulder in a mechanical, if lopsided, shrug and moves onto the next pile of things to start to pick through it. "I would not profess to finding every secret," she intones. "But, I have found many secrets, if you can call them that."

"Well….then obviously there must be more to explore." Sado says, his eyes flicker to the little her and there among the fabrics. "Would you care to join me then?" The tone still stone dry. "Or are you busy….this is just one stop in my search….but company would be welcome."

"There is always more to explore." That's simply a statement of fact, issued with a sidelong look to him. Galina continues her poking and prodding of this pile or that, her notations made with precise strokes of her pen. A minute. Two. The silence is allowed to linger for a while before she answers with: "I am occupied with this for now." The clipboard is briefly lifted. "And I need to find a few things to complete a few projects that I am working on. Another time, perhaps."

"Another time…then." The young man turns towards the door and then slides his hands in his pocket. He pauses outside the room, then a look to the left….a look to the right. Yes right seems like the right direction, he turns and his eyes gaze towards her, a small upturn on the edge of his lips gives away a bit of amusement. "Bye."

"Be well." And with that farewell given, the former healer continues in her given task, while Cyanosis chitters his own, inarticulate, goodbye for the young man. Galina vanishes further into the storage chamber, naught but a geist and possibly a memory for the here and now.
