Bellanne is Searched!

Fort Weyr - Bellanne's Room(#7637RJ)
Colored brightly and draped in fabrics, this room is never empty. Cloth is thrown about the room, though looking clearly organized. One can find what they're looking for easily if they know the filing system. A dresser, a table, a bed all fill the room much neater than the other places in the room. The table's drawer is filled with papers, unable to fully close. It shows much of the owner's personality colorful and bouncy.

Bellanne hasn't left her room, by the looks of it, for the last few days. So, she's pacing, seeing as Jedrek hasn't returned yet. Before she sighs and finally settles at her desk and begins to poke at her mending work in silence.

WHAM. The door flings open — hits the wall — then comes back and hits the intruder. Awesome. "OW!" is resounded in a female voice, as the jacketed figure wobbles unsteadily from behind the door pushing it away while rubbing her nose. "I suck at this whole dooming entrance thing," is muttered softly before, finally, the woman takes her hand from her face and looks up at Bellanne devilishly. It was obvious it was Tarish, from the moment of the noise, but she can at least hope to be a /little/ surprising after all this time. "What're you doin'?" comes out with the same type of mocking statement, but this time, she tries to flavor it with a bit of actual caring. Real people like that, right?

Bellanne lets out a soft scream at the door flying open, her eye wide before she relaxes as she spots Tarish. A sigh and she shakes her head, rubbing her eyes. "Shells, Tarish… Scare me to my death, why don'tcha?" Her nose wrinkles before she shakes her head at her friend. "What're you doing? I'm mending stuff seeing as I can't do /real/ work right now, Tarish." She stands, moving over to her friend and gives her a poke on the cheek. "Smile, Tarish. Be happy and not like some drone. Sevi had eggs, isn't that what you wanted?"

"You know how much it amuses me," is Tarish's humored remark as she invites herself in, 'admiring' the atmosphere and pacing around casually as if she owned the place. Sort of. She continues rubbing her nose — hey, it hurt! "/Real/ work? As opposed to what?" The question runs off her tongue rather hotly, and her eyes thin; but, that poke on the cheek startles her, and she bats it away. "I'm not a drone! I'm perfectly happy!" Liar. "It's just that /sharding/ Vi'leko, bobbing away like this is the most amazing thing in the world, that we're going to have a clutch full of bronzes, and that we can be like.. /friends/ or something. It's disgusting. Vile. /Yucky/. Sure, I wanted her to have eggs. But she chose the wrong damn bronze, that's what."

Bellanne grins, shrugging her shoulders. "I know, Tarish.." A pause and she seems to darken for a moment. "My knot and badge got taken." She notes, running fingers through her hair before she rolls her eyes. "You couldn't act so uncaring to me if you were happy, dear. You're all upset. How about you just kick him off the sands and tell him to come back for touchings?" A playful grin and she gives her friend a hug. "You can do that, I think."

"I could do that, but that'd just be.. /mean/." Not that she isn't enough already. "I dunno… He's sorta.. comforting, you know? I can't explain it. All I know is that I hate it. He drives me nuts at the same time he calms me down." Tarish heaves a deep sigh, but slowly turns about to lean against some sort of table behind her. "Wait… What?! Your badge and your knot?! What happened? Who do I have to have Sevi eat? Where are they?!" The obvious signs of rage begin to show in her face, as she show a rather obviously annoyed face in Bellanne's direction. Hey, no one does something like that to her friend without being mortally scarred by herself, first!

Bellanne chuckles softly, nodding her head. "Maybe you like him." She notes with a sigh, giggling. "Yeah.. Well, someone ratted me out on giving low prices. So, I can't do work until the Hall is out of it's troubles.. Hopefully, it won't take much longer. Don't know who ratted but, when I find out you and Jed will be the first to know."

Tarish raises herself up from her leaning position, walking away with her back to Bellanne for a moment. Her arms cross. Her feet tap. There's a moment of silence, before she turns about, eyes pursed. "Well, I'll admit that, no matter how noble that was, it was pretty damned foolish." A rather strange glance is sent back at Bellanne, before the black locks are shaken and she looks at the floor. "Doesn't matter, though. Because you're noble — and deserve it — and because I have authority, this is only fitting." What is she talking about? The dark-skinned woman pauses for a moment, breathing deeply, before reaching deeply into her jacket pocket, and pulling out a white knot, which she flings at Bellanne loosely. "You're Standing."

Bellanne laughs softly, brushing at her hair. "I've always done it that way… But, it's mostly because we did fair exchanges…" She notes, shrugging her shoulders but then staring at her friend's back with a blank look. "What's fitting…?" Though, the question is answered as she catches the knot. Her face stays like that for a moment before shiting into one of shock. She opens her mouth to speak, closing it shortly after then nodding. "Alright."

Tarish is surprised that Bellanne doesn't question her statement, and because of which, Tarish is a little shocked as well. "Well," she continues, as if the weaver /had/ said something. "I knew, the moment I realized that that giant brute of mine was going to lay eggs, that you'd be Standing for 'em, one way or the other. Your lack of position right now just makes it more…" she pauses for a moment. "Convenient." My, has her vocabulary grown! "I can't tell you that you won't be disappointed again, but I'll be happy if you at least try."

Bellanne grins quietly, nodding her head. "Of course.. I mean, it's only right, isn't it?" She slowly begins to giggle again, nodding her head. "Convenient, I suppose so. Don't have to worry about me getting all sorts of commissions during the candidacy." A pause and her shoulders shrug. "Yeah.. No one knows but those eggs, I imagine. I'll try though, Tarish. For you, myself, and Jeddie…" A pause and her brows raise. "Have you seen him at all?"

A light laugh begins to leave Tarish at Bellanne's last statement. "You'll find him at the Candidate Barracks as well. Like I said… It's only fitting." She smiles, before hugging her arms to her chest and looking about. "Well… You get your stuff together and head over there, then. But first…" She takes a light sniff. "Wash up. You smell like you haven't left the room for days." There's another chuckle, before she heads towards the door. "Just keep your head high, girl. I've got faith in you." With that, she offers a slight wink — gasp, a Tarish wink! — and she turns about, and walks out the door.
