Fort Weyr - Center Bowl
The wide center of the bowl is often bustling with activity as riders come and go. Off westward can be seen the entrances for the candidate barracks and the guest weyr, while to the east is a large opening that leads into the dragon infirmary. The bowl stretches off both to the north and to the south, where the sheer stone walls rise steeply to the sky.
Back into the cold she goes though this time at least she isn't in danger of drowning. Wyn is settled outside, crouched down near some buckets filled with snow using a stick to sketch something out along the ground. She wrinkles her nose and sighs then dusts the image way with her fingers and starts again.
A tiny figure wanders out from the Dragon Infirmary, all bundled up in a familiar beige coat and a pale green scarf. They pause as they door closes behind them, looking about and spying Wyndrei before crunching on over. "Hey, found you," Ashri calls as she gets within earshot. "I thought you'd be in the infirmary." She chuckles, stopping behind the young woman and looking at Dragonhealer's drawing in the snow, adjusting her small satchel. "Trying to decide how you want to lay it out?" she asks, kneeling down beside Wyn.
Another familiar form appears from the archway leading to the living caverns carrying a tray with several mugs and a steaming pitcher of klah, "Ah, ladies. I thought I might find you here." Pralius emerges from behind the pitcher, leaning over to peck Wyn gently on the cheek, "How goes the…" He peers at the snow she's set aside, "snow?"
Milo tromps up to his sister and her entourage. "I cannot /believe/ how cold it is, today. You guys are /crazy/ to be out here." He pauses and looks at the outline in the snow. "Is that going to be the skeleton?" He spies the klah that Pralius brought out, and his face lights up. "Ohh! Klah!" He swoops down and picks up a mug and pours klah into it. He drinks, taking the time to savor the smell. "Mm, that's the stuff," he sighs happily.
Is that the sound of tiny hooves? Well, it just might be, albeit mignled with the sound of crunching snow underfoot. That, and the distant voice that's trailing along after it that sounds not exactly happy. A few seconds later and a pure white pygmy goat comes trotting happily into the midst of the grouping, its stubby little legs carrying it right in the middle of all these strange snow sculptures. And ooh - what's that? The little thing trots up to Wyn and starts to sniffle curiously at whatever it is she's working on. There it stops, a plaintive little bleat escaping it as its tiny tail twitches once or twice. It doesn't take long for the person pursuing it, Elyciana, to skid to a stop several feet away, nearly falling over in her haste. "I …" she begins, gasping and clutching at a stitch in her side as she slowly advances on the stray goat. "Sharding idiots. Didn't I tell them to close the sharding gate?" Dressed in her usual fleece-lined coat ad gloves, she glances back over her shouler once and aims a glare in the direction of the stables. Then, obviously noticing that she's in the midst of an impromptu gathering, she straightens up a little, "Ah. Sorry if I crashed the party. But .. " Her eyes flicker to the goat and then back to the gathering, obviously torn. Work or play?
Wyndrei smiles up at Ashri and nods her head, "Well.. they released me.. if that's what you mean and if you mean work..well I got some time off.." she grins. A book lays open near her and she nods to it, "Yeah.. sorta like that.." The pages show different dragon parts in skeletal images in a checkerboard pattern, a block for each part. "Except.. put them in the approximate places they'd be if it was a real skeleton being dug up.." Dark eyes flick a glance to Pralius at the sound of his voice and rises to her feet to lean in for the kiss. She smiles and nuzzles the klah-bearer a little, "Hey you..well.. okay.." and she nods to a portion of dragon-spine worked in snow, behind her a few meters. "Now I'm trying to get this paw just right.." She looks up at Milo as she kneels back down and grins, "This is nothing compared to being nearly icicled," and she grins, nodding sagely. She little goat makes Wyn's eyes go wide with a delighted little gasp and she reaches out to pet it, "Oh shards, you are the cutest thing ever!" she chirps at it then smiles up at Ely, "Hi there..which one is this?" she asks.
Jayashri looks up at Pralius approaching, grinning at the Healer. "Yeah, I guess you caught us," she admits with a chuckle, standing and reaching for one of the klah mug. "Did you need help with that?" she offers before Milo approaches and receives a quirk of a smile. "Heh. I guess I'm used to it now," she admits. "But if it's so cold, why are /you/ out here?" Aha, found a flaw in his logic, she did. This moment of logical triumph is interrupted by the bounding approach of a kid. The caprine kind. "Hey, woah there!" she starts, eyes darting nervously toward the nearby snow structures. "Take it easy little fella." She reaches out to scratch the goat behind the ears, looking up at Elyciana approaches. "Maybe you should let him headbutt someone," she suggests. "You know, the one responsible for letting him out." She smiles at him. "He's a cute little thing though." Skritch skritch.
Pralius smiles at Wyn, glancing down at her text, "I think you're off to a fine start. Both of you." He nods to Ashri as well, who he knows to be in on the plot. Then Milo's there and Pralius nearly spills the klah on him in a moment of panic before he's saved by the baby goat and Ely, "Erm, morning all… Ely, you look nice today, but what did you do to Milo? He seems to be turning into a goat."
Milo watches the little white goat, all bemused, and then crouches down. He takes a jelly candy out of his pocket and puts it on his palm. "Here, goat-goat-goat," he calls coaxingly. Ely's entrance is noticed, of course, and he grins up at her. "Aw, he's cute, Ely. What's his name?" He wiggles the candy on his palm enticingly. He gives his sister a loving smile, and, when she's not looking, Pralius gets The Hairy Eyeball. But only for a second, and then it's back to his regular cheer, again. "I suppose you're right, Wyn." He chuckles at Jayashri. "I just came out here for the klah, of course," he says, brandishing his mug. "And to tease you." He winks outrageously at her, just to tease her. Pralius's comment gets a blank look. "What?" he asks, totally not getting it. At all.
Elyciana takes a few deep breaths of the icy cold air, one arm still halfway wrapped around her chest in some attempt to stop the burning sensation there. It takes her a few moments to catch her breath enough to actually notice /who/ she's just wandered in on. "I think I'll do more than let the goat headbutt him, Ashri," she retorts to the younger girl, rolling her eyes slightly and scowling once more in the direction of the stable. She runs a frustrated hand through her hair, which looks a lot worse for wear from the frenzied chase. There's a moment of hesitation as she considers Wyn and Milo - both of who asked for the name, "His name is ah .. Jingles." There's that challenge in her eyes as she says that, as though daring anyone to laugh at the childish name. Not that she does that to Milo. No, he receives a warm smile, as usual, "You're turning into a goat, are you? I haven't noticed any horns lately." She pretends to lean forward and inspect the man's head after Parlius' comment. The goat, on the otherhand, seems almost bewildered by all the attention. Either that, or just loving the attention. He butts Ashri's hand playfully and bleats once more in Wyn's direction. That candy held out to him is sniffed once or twice before he eats it eagerly. Yes. Even candy is good to a goat.
Wyndrei grins up at Ashri, "I know /I/ need help, of the artistic sort.." she says with a wrinkle of her nose. "I can't get this angle right on the foot.." she says with a sigh. "Jingles..that's cute.." she grins at Ely then just peers at the exchange between her brother and her BOYFRIEND, smile dazzling at the latter. She moves around and stares at the finger-sketch she's made in the snow to indicate the shape of the snow bones she'll make then peers up at Milo and then Ashri, "See? Something's not right.." she says of the rough draft of the piece. She rises to look at it from further away, or maybe it's a ploy to stand near Pral, which she does, "What do you think?" she asks him, giving him a sweet smile.
Jayashri grins at Jingles, continuing to scratch along his head, behind little horns and long ears, glancing up at Pralius. Granted, she has to look up at almost everyone. "You wanna help?" An eyebrow is raised as Milo feeds the goat some of his candy. "You sure he won't choke on that?" she looks to Elyciana, who is, after all, the person with the most knowledge regarding these beasts. "I mean, we don't give candy to young children because they could choke on it and all." She chortles in Milo's direction at his remark then, trying not to snort as Elyciana inspects him for horns. Wyndrei draws her attention back to their snow sculpting task, and she nods in response. "Well, let's see what we can come up with then." She kneels again, inspecting the various drawing and starting to trace an outline in the snow with her fingertip.
Pralius chuckles, "I was implying the caprine…ummm, Jingles, was you, Milo. Bad joke." He ignores the hairy eyeball completely, instead nodding to Wyn and Ashri, wrapping an arm around Wyn when she gets close, "Maybe slimming the carpals a tad and elongating the entire hand… paw… whatever? It looks… just a little off…"
"Aw," Milo says, and scratches the goat's chin. "Jingles is a cute name. But now he needs a little collar with bells on it." He waits until she's done looking or horns, and then looks up at Ely and smiles back. "You look good," he tells her, totally digging the disshevelled hair. He inspects Wyndrei's sketch, and comes closer. Then he smoothes the snow out nearby, so as not to interfere with Ashri's drawing, and uses his finger to sketch it out. "Like that?" he asks Wyndrei, looking confident that that's what she was aiming for. He rolls his eyes a bit at the sappy looks Wyndrei is giving to Pralius. "I think I'm going to get a cavity," he mutters to Ely. "And not from the candy." He shakes his head at Jayashri. "Nah. He's got teeth. He can chew. And anyway, I have it on high authority that goats will eat anything." He takes another candy from his pocket and holds it out for Jingles. He gives Pralius a side-long glance. "Riiiight," he says slowly. "Tip: Don't call your girlfriend's over-protective and more muscular brother names." He chuckles.
Elyciana rubs her gloved hands vigorously together in some attempt to coax more warmth into them, despite the fact she does have gloves on. She lets out her breath in a slow puff, causing it to rise into the air in a long cloud of white as she eyes Jingles carefully. Perhaps to make sure he's not choking or not threatenig to run away again. "They eat biger things than that. Trust me. I'm sure they could take a stab at your laptop and not choke," she retorts with an amused half-smirka t Ashri. She's obviously not concerned about the candy going down the goat's gullet. Opting for play, rather than work, she shuffles through the snow a bit to peer over Wyn's shoulder at the drawing in the snow, "Well .. ah .." She cocks her head to one side, as though trying to examine it better that way, but seems unable to come up with anything to say about it. She's saved having to say anything at Pralius' comment, which elicits a soft chortle of laughter and a further smirk, "Perhaps I should start calling Milo Jingles as some sort of pet name, then? Granted, I don't think he looks much like a Jingles." She gazes thoughtfully over at her boyfriend with a calculated gaze, a corner of her mouth pulling upwards into a grin, "He needs something more manly, I think." She moves close to Milo and leans in to give him a kiss, pausing only to push a few strands of his hair out of the way. Jingles, meanwhile, scoops up the latest candy offering with his lips and munches on it with a little bleat of happiness. His tail twitches once or twice and he moves over to snuffle at the drawing again. Another bleat. Mayhaps he's giving his opinion on the matter.
Wyndrei looks down to where Ashri is sketching with a fingertip and smiles then leans in to kiss Pralius on the cheek, though it lands about his jaw before she pulls away to crouch near her creation once more. She glances up at Milo and snorts a laugh, "Right like you two aren't all.. googly eyed and stuff.." she says to him. She nods as Pralius gives some drawing advice then looks to what Milo's done and nods to both, "Right just like that.. oh thanks!" she says exhaling. "Now I can resume building the bone shapes up.." and she drags over a bucket, doing just that. She glances up at her brother quirking a grin at him then her eyes cut to said boyfriend, she says nothing. Jingles, the small white variety, gets a pet to the head and then she's back at her project.
Looking from sketch, to her drawing, to Milodann's, and then nodding at Pralius' advice, Ashri nods. "I think we've got something there," she observes, uncurling and carefully following Wyndrei to where she has gone to resume work on her structure, starting to aid as promised. She does laugh at Elyciana's pet name. "Milo doesn't look like a Jingles at /all/," she giggles. "And if that goat tried to eat my laptop, well, I think I'd have a new method of technological demise to share with Odisyn." She smirks, resuming her shaping. "Oh, Pralius, could you pass me my klah? I left my mug over there." She points to where the snow-sketch is.
Pralius nods, reaching down and passing the klah mug to Ashri before glancing at Milo, "Eh, Wyn'd be sad if you hurt me. Also, Ely," He glances at the unique herder girl, "I think he's more deserving of a bovine's nickname than a caprine's." He chuckles, glancing back at Wyn's sculpture, watching it slowly come together with an approving nod.
Milo laughs and accepts Ely's kiss, but then stands. "You cold?" he asks her. He tucks her hands under his arms and then hugs her close to share warmth. He buries his face in her hair, and starts laughing. "You smell like goats," he says through his mirth. Notably, he doesn't let go. "What manly nickname did you have in mind?" he asks, going along with the teasing. "Glad I could help, Wyn," he says to his sister. Ashri gets a curious glance. "You would think people would be careful with their tech," Milo says. "I mean, it's not exactly cheap, is it?" Pern has a notable lack of Third World cheap labor. He just glares at Pralius. "Are you /trying/ to piss me off?" he asks with a mean-face.
Elyciana slides gratefully forward into Milo's embrace, tucking her frozen hands close to greedily soak up the warmth. For a moment she even buries her face into his shoulder, until she realizes it's not exactly the best position to talk from. So, she pulls back a little and smirks up at Milo, removing one of her hands from its protective warmth to push a strand of hair behind her ear, "Unfortunately, yes. I didn't have any time to clean up. Booa nd Leon were climbing all over me." And if it weren't obvious those were goats, that'd certainly sound weird. She looks into Milo's face for a moment and idly pulls at his scarf in a contemplative sort of way, "I'll have to get back to you on teh nickname. It has to be something good and …" She trails off, a frown pulling at her lips as she eyes Pralius, "Soemthing not relating to bovines." A soft chortle escapes her, tohugh, as she adds, "I do think you're asking for it, Pral. I'd be careful. I'm nots ure you can effectively heal yourself, can you?" Shifting slightly in her spot in Milo's arms, she peers over his shoulder at the progress of the sculpture, "You sure you have enough snow around here to build something that big? Might have to bribe some brats with candy to get all that done. Jingles won't be able to do it all. And I doubt Ashri's laptop can magic any over, either." As tohugh to punctuate this, Jingles lets out a low bleat and trots forward a few paces. Dropping his front legs to the ground, he curls his back legs underneath him and settles into a nice comfortable position next to Ashri. Now that he's all settled, he gives his head a bit of a shake, causing his floppy ears to wiggle a bit. Cute.
"I do too," Wyn says to Ashri, beaming a bit. "See how the wings jut up.. I think there's room between those two..as if the current pieces are set atop my dig.." she says excitedly, clapping her hands. The elated expression is somewhat shortlived at that last bit from Milo to Pralius and she goes quiet, looking between the two, concerned. From her crouched position Wyn curls her arms around her legs and stares up at the two young men for a moment then glances to her buckets of sand, "Yeah..I'll have to send for more soon.." she says in answer to Ely's comment. "Thankfully I'm not doing an entire dragon.. just parts of one arranged in the right places.." she explains, in case the partially done bas-relief isn't too clear.
Taking the klah mug from Pralius, Ashri takes a long sip before setting it down beside her. She tries not to snort the klah through her nose, however, as Pralius' retort. Hurk. Swallow! Cough! "You'd think," she manages after a few moments of spluttering to Milo. "Just the other day Odisyn told me someone lost their phone to a watch-wher stepping on it. A watch-wher! How'd it get in the beast's way at all?" She shakes her head, sighing and clearing her throat. "Woah, hey there, Jingles." She raises her hand as the kid flops his ears all about. "Let's not goat-doze over the skeleton, okay?" Another head scratch and then her attention turns back to Wyndrei, nodding. "It looks great so far, Wyn," she agrees. "And we're only doing a partial skeleton, so it looks half dug up. It'll be awesome." This last is reserved for those questioning the amount of fluff required.
"I don't mind," Milo tells Ely. "It's pretty cold out here, and that's curbing the smell." THe height of summer, though, would be a different matter. He catches Wyndrei's worried look, and sends her a smile. "Don't worry, Windy, I'm just giving him a hard time. I actually kind of like the guy." He grins at Pralius. "No hard feelings. It's okay, you're human." He nods in agreement with Jayashri's assessment. "It's gonne be neat, when it's done," he says.
Elyciana slides her hands back close to Milo as a rather cold gust of wind crosses the bowl, causing her to wince a bit at the resulting shiver. "Well. Atleast I smell nice to the goats, no matter what." This is enough to cause her to chortle a bit and forget about the cold for now as her mismatched eyes fix on the spot where the skeleton will be. "As long as I'm not the one lugging anything around for that. I might help a bit but … " She jerks her chin at the circle of dancing goats nearby and lifts her shoulders a bit, "I've done my bit with my snow goats. I think my last artistic drop has leaked out of my head." Sliding in a bit closer to Milo, she offers a bit of a smirk as she teases, "Well, shards. I was hoping to field some bets for a fight between the two boyfriends." It's obviously a joke, considering the amount of sarcasm that drips from each word. Ashri is considered for a moment and her smirk grows even more, "Bit breakable, that technology. Perhaps the wher wanted to make a call or something? Pity the phone wasn't wher-proof."
Wyndrei does wide-eye a bit at her brother when he tells Ely she smells like goats, though it's not really an insult just.. do you say that to your girl? She blinks then glances between the boys again and finally just smiles at Pralius when he makes his apology and slinks down beside her. She snuggles up to his side and smiles, "I don't mind really.. just didn't want you guys to actually let it go too far and be cross..kinda like my brother and my..boyfriend to get along, at least a little.." and she glances up to said brother. She gazes back down at her progressing project and smiles then digs out snow from a bucket and continues shaping bones.
Snow is scooped and packed between Ashri's gloved paws as she works to form another bone in the dragon's "hand". She chortles at Elyciana's remark regarding technology. "Poor Smith is going to have to come up with five marks for the case alone," she notes. Technology ain't cheap either. More snow is carefully articulated between her nimble fingers — tiny hands are great at the fine details — and she slowly and carefully puts the newly formed bone in with the foot, checking to ensure the dimensions and proper and what not before picking it back up and doing some more fine tuning. "I think this may be even more difficult than mine, Wyn," she grins. "Not that I mind the challenge."
Pralius nods to Wyn, "I understand that Wyn. And Milo's actually a decent guy when he's not menacing me with a fork," he chuckles softly, "and anything that hurts you hurts me, so it's better that way." He glances at Ely's goats, then at his own wher and all the other submissions, "They're all so amazing I have no idea who'll win, but it should be interesting to see, eh?" He glances at Ashri, "A /wher/ stepped on their /phone/? cripes."
Milo laughs outright at the thought of getting into a fight with Pralius. "Well. I fight dirty, so I just might win." He winks to show that he's joking, however. "Oh, hey, Ely, I've been meaning to ask. The underthings that your snow-goats are eating. Are those /yours/?" His grin is wicked. The wickedness slides off, however, when he looks at his sister. "I'll try," Milo says. "As long as he makes you happy, I'm happy with him." D'awwww. He raises an eyebrow at Ashri. "Let her do most of the work, or else this'll be your /second/ entry. Is that against the rules?" he asks. And then, after a pause, he says, "Hey, what /are/ the rules, anyway?" He laughs. And continues laughing at Pralius. "Oh, come /on/," Milo says. "It's not like I actually poked you with it, or anything." He shakes his head and chuckles some more. "For a minute there, though, I thought you were going to have an accident." He seems quite pleased, in fact, by his successful scare-tactics. "Hey, now. You're talking like you're an old married couple. What gives? You /just/ started dating!"
Elyciana wrinkles her nose a little at Ashri's remarks, giving a mystified shake of her head and a derisive snort, "5 marks for ap iece of plastic? Shards. I can think of a lot more I could buy with 5 marks." Leaning to one side to watch the progress of the skeleton, she adds in an aside to Wyn, a slow smirks preading over her features, "Like Wyn here oculd probably hire some decent people to lug snow around for 5 marks." And then the Bitran in her soon is let loose and she can't seem to help but add, "Or oyu could bet that 5 marks and turn it into 25 marks i the right spot." She trails off, the thoughts that were on betting now suddenly focused directly on Milo. There's a moment of surprise before she actually breaks into a fit of chortling as she glances from Parlius to Milo, "You .. you're the one who threatened him with a fork?" She ends up burying her face into Milo's shoulder for a moment, effectively muffling her mirth with the exception of her shaking shoulders. Eventually she breaks away, taking a moment to gasp in some icy cold air to try to control herself. "The ah .. the what?" she asks, vaguely, her focus coming back to the conversation as soon as she hears the word 'underthings'. A frown pulls at her lips and she stares blankly at the snow goats for a moment before a mischievous grin appears, "/Mine/? You think I'd let anyone but you see my underthings? Really! I just went to the laundry area and grabbed a few choice pieces." She does sound a bit smug at this admission and even adds, "No one's even bothered to complain about it, either! Though I'm sure someone's missing their favorite lacy garment there. Or their Weyrmate is, anyhow."
Wyndrei grins and keeps working then nods up at Pralius, "He is.. err..fork? What?" she asks eyes narrowing. Milo's comment about goats eating underthings makes her blink then she frowns at her younger brother, glancing down at her project. "I did the spine part by myself.. just needed help with the digits.." she nods to the paw. "Besides, who says it couldn't be a joint entry if I did need a LOT of help.." and she shrugs. "I said before my ideas outrun my skill.. I'm no artist.." and she grins over at Ashri. She leans over to Pralius and kisses his cheek again, "That's sweet of you.." she says of her hurts being his hurts. It's a wonder the snow doesn't melt beneath the warm gazes she directs to the healer.
Pralius chuckles at Milo, "You still nearly caused me to need to buy new pants /again/, Milo. Can't deny I'm afraid of you hurting me." He grins, quirking an eyebrow but not commenting on Ely's apparent plot against the underwear of the Weyr." He flushes deeply when Wyn casts that melting look on him, "I… Wyn." His own smile is sappy, his eyes focused only on her. Until the little brown curled up on his shoulder gives an awkward suawk.
"Yeah," Ashri chuckles and then grimaces faintly. "I feel sorry for him." She works some more on that bone, sizing it up again before answering to Milodann with a chuckle. "I don't know. I don't mind helping either way. It's fun." She's still a kid, after all. Or, a teen at least. "Ely, your inner Bitran is showing," she chides lightheartedly. Satisfied with her bone, she begins packing more snow to make another, eyeing the goat beside her as she does so. "He isn't going to try and eat my scarf, is he?" she asks, only half joking as she looks to the capering caprines sculpture. A bronze snout peeks out of her little side-satchel suddenly, nostrils twitching. What's this? Whuffle.
Milo laughs, too. "Yeah. Well. He told me he was officially dating my sister. I had to put some fear into him. And I was eating dinner, and I had a fork, so…" He grins evilly at Pralius. "Did Wyn tell you that she has two older brothers, too? One of whom is a bronzerider, and can be here in 8 seconds flat to kick you around? If need be?" He tosses his head back and roars with laughter at Ely's admission of 'borrowing' the underthings. "Hilarious!" he yells, shaking with laughter, still. He grins at Wyndrei. "Well, it looks really good so far, big sister." To Ashri he says, "Well. I like her inner Bitran."
Elyciana feigns a look of surprise as she glances down at herself, as though searching for this inner Bitran that Ashri speaks of, "Shards. I didn't know it was that visible. Perhaps I should reign it in a tad." The corners of her mouth twitch a little as a smirk slides onto her face, "Faranth forbid. People might think I'm not nice, you know." Creeping in a bit closer to Milo, she leans in to steal a kiss for a brief second, "And I didn't bribe him to say that he likse my inner Bitran, either." Pulling back, she eyes Pralius and Wyn for a moment, her smirk returning, "Well. Nice to know you have a whole squad of men to make sure the both of them are kept in line. Odds are good that some srt of interesting occurance will happen." There goes the Bitran in her again. It's the mention of the goat that has her attention drifting back to Ashri and she answers in a lofy tone, "Oh no. He'll probably prefer to eat your hair. Scarves aren't his thing." There's quite a lot of sarcasm in that comment, but she doesn't seem overly concerned for any nearby garments of clothing. Jingles is just having a good time flopped out onto the cool ground and watching all the goings-on. Perhaps sensing he's being talked about, he offers a soft little bleat and blinks his big goat eyes. See how cute and innocent he is? He'd never eat anything he wasn't supposed to.
Wyndrei wide-eyes at Pralius at the pants comment then blinks and blushes for some odd reason, her attention decidedly somewhere else a moment. She 'ohs' to herself upon a realization of something then shakes her head, her conversation with herself apparently amusing, according to the grin on her face. She stays snuggled up to Pralius for a moment then has to shift to finish her ridge of snow bone, moving a little, it looks like a jaw has been formed and she's starting on an eye socket. She grins at Milo, "He knows I have brothers..err..left out that bronzer part.." she says with a little sheepish shrug. She grins over at Ely and shakes her head, "Let's hope not.." she says of squads and interesting happenings. A giggle falls to the goat then she looks at Ashri, "Thanks for helping." she says with an appreciative look at her work. "Just wings to go!" she chirps excitedly.
Jayashri chuckles at Milodann. "I'm sure you do, Milo. I mean, you play /cards/ with her so often." Was that an innuendo? Maybe? It's hard to tell with the young Apprentice. She glances back over at the bleating goat, frowning thoughtfully. "Well, if you say so…" Her look is stern, implying that if the goat /does/ try to eat something he ought not he's going to get what's coming to him. Meanwhile, Ravi has poked his whole head out of the satchel, looking around with blinking eyes. Squawk. He chirps first at the goat and then to Harkonnen, now halfway out of the satchel. There's a big white world to explore! Wait, what? Maybe it's /too/ big. Squeak. He ducks back into the satchel. Nice and small world here. And warm! Yes! Ashri chuckles at her bronze's antics before grinning at Wyndrei, sharing her excitement. "No problem, Wyn! I love doing this sort of thing."
Pralius was about to say that he knew about Wyn's brothers when Milo's continuance makes him stop, jaw hanging open somewhat, "B- bronzer?" He blinks twice, "Why didn't you tell me one of your brothers was a bronzer?" He shifts back some to let Wyn keep working, "Don't know what color my father rode…" He shrugs and sighs, "so… caprines don't eat scarves?" Harkonnen chitters at Ravi, the white is fun.
Milo smirks and kisses Ely back. Then he fishes some more of those jelly candies out of his pocket and tosses the entire bag to Ashri. "Here," he says. "Feed him these and he won't eat stuff he's not supposed to." He watches his sister hollow out the eye socket. "Don't make it too round," he cautions her, smiling as he watches. He blinkblinks at Jayashri. "We /do/ play cards. A lot. I'm learning poker. And losing. Luckily for me, we haven't actually played with real marks, yet. Just candy." And favors, and clothes, but he isn't about to go there. To Pralius he smirks. "What does it matter what color he rides? Any dragon will be as fast. What you should be worried about is not the size of M'el's dragon, but size of his /arms/." Milo holds his hands out to make a circle with them, wherein his fingers don't meet. Not even close. "They're like /this/."
Elyciana waves a hand idly in the air as she explains in a matter-of-fact voice to Ashri, "Of course we play cards. I just happen to trounce him thoroughly allt he time. Bitran and all. I can't help it." The corner of her mouth quirks up a litle at that. A customary Ely smirk, thougs he doesn't bother going into further details about all these card games, though she does add, "I still need to start you on pool. Perhaps you'd do better with that? It's a bit more manly." It's the mention of brothers that makes her trail off for a oment in thought, her eyes following Milo's visual demonstration for a moment before a smirk appears, "Are we comparing the merits of brothers now? My brother, Orice, has a bit of a temper, you know. He might be lean but .. I do think he broke a few noses in fights over card games." She does pat Milo's arm for a moment and quirk a grin, "Thankfully I don't keep in touch with him." She glances idly over at the sculpture to check it's progress and does add to Wyn, "It atleast looks like a skeleton so far, Wyn. That's a plus." She trails off, frowning momentarily at the sky as she gauges the time and then swears under her breath, "Shards! I have to get Jingles back before they think he's disappeared off of the face of Pern." She leans forward to give Milo a quick departing kiss and a half-smile before she heads over to the goat. Pulling a small rope lead out of her pocket, she loops one end around his neck and gently coaxes the goat to his feet. Jingles protests with several bleats before he grudgingly gets up, his tail twitching in irritation. Still, he trots off along after Ely - the last thing anyone'll see of him is his furry goat behind. How cute.
Wyndrei exhales and then moves up a bit and over, carefully stepping dainty feet between other artwork to start piecing out the frames of the wings. She glances up at Ashri and grins, "I can tell.." she says of the techy's enjoyment. She looks to Pralius and lifts her shoulders, "Don't worry he's not old enough to be your dad.." she murmurs then holds a look on him for a moment before going back to the wings. She squints up at Milo, "Mi..he's got the hint..now stop throwing muscle around or.." and she quirks her mouth, thinking, or..or..OR! "I'll have to have a talk with Ely.." and she smiles sweetly, eyes batting. Of course they'd probably talk about clothes or goats or something but he doesn't need to know that, or that she's sorta touched at his protective nature. Huff. With a few sort of broken strands of ridges, the framework of the wings is done and Wyn stands up and steps back carefully, looking over the snowy art. "Well.. I think that'll do it.." she says then glances to Pralius and moves over to stand near him, a hand curling at his arm. "What do you think?" She looks to Ely and waves as she leaves.
Ashri catches the bag of candy as it is tossed to her, looking inside. "What if I want to eat them?" she asks, almost with longing. The problem is solved, however, as Elyciana takes the goat away. "Bye, Ely!" she calls, waving. Remembering her klah belated, she reaches for the lukewarm cup, draining about half of it before turning back to her snow moulding. Ravi, for his part, has gotten curious about the strange, colorful bag sitting on the white snow. He slips out of her satchel and cautiously edges towards it. A darting look to either side and he dives in! Whee! "It looks great, Wyn!" the CompCrafter grins. "Shells, it might even compete with mine!"
Pralius smiles, "Bye Ely, don't play pool too much." He winks, then she's gone and he nods to Wyn, "It's great, Wyn. It'll give Milo's a run for his marks, I think." He glances at Ashri and nods, "The help you gave looks good, too." He sighs softly, "Who do you think'll win?"
"Well," Milo says to Ely. "If you brother comes looking for me, I hope you'll tell him that I'm trying my hardest to entertain you." He grins saucily at her. "Later, Ely!" he says as she leaves with the goat. He watches her go, enjoying the play of sunlight on her amber-colored hair. He turns to Wyndrei. "Talk with Ely?" he asks his sister. "About what?" He laughs at Ashri. "Go ahead and eat them," he tells her. "Yeah, the bones look good. Creepy as anything, though." He chuckles at Pralius. "Oh, I think Ashri's is going to win. It's the most complicated, so far."
Jayashri grins. "Complicated isn't always better," she notes, then spies her bronze in the candy. "Ravi!" she chides, reaching to remove the hatchling flit from the sweets. He comes out, a gummy something hanging from his mouth, looking all cute and innocent. Chirr? Ashri can't help but melt at his adorable look. "Okay, okay, I'll share, but asks, will ya? Silly bronze." She scoops up the candy bag, tucking it in her satchel and also her mug of klah. "I think I'm going to head back in. The cold is starting to get to me." She quirks a lopsided grin Milodann's way. "I'll see you guys later!" And with a wave she's churning up snow on her way to the living caverns.
