Fort Weyr - Bathing Caverns
A high, domed ceiling stretches far overhead, voices echoing in the distance. Warm, moist air fills the room, coming from the variety of pools scattered about. Vines have been planted in baskets and grow up the walls, thriving in the soft artificial light provided by glows placed at random intervals about the room.

Dirty, dirty, dirty. She felt dirty. No, not just dirty, /filthy/. Last night she had acted rather unlike herself and gotten drunk, very, very, drunk. And as a result she had been hung over for most of the day. But now she feels good enough to move and is heading down to the bathing caverns to clean. No, she does not smell and is not overly dirty, but that doesn't stop the paranoia. She /has/ to clean.

Xavier rests at the edge of one of the larger pools, a bit of soapsand in his hands scrubbing his shoulders, lowering himself below the water before coming back up to see Polana. "Oh hi Polana, how are you?" He had been getting in some laps in the pool cause it's to cold to go out in the lake.

She is very surprised to hear another person's voice and very nearly lets out a surprised little squeak. Nearly. Because, filthy and still a little odd from the hangover or not, she is still better put together then that. So she instead turns around to see Xavier and lets out a relieved sigh before saying, "I'm okay, Xavier. Had to deal with perverts that like to pretend that rocks are things that… aren't rocks but other than that I'm fine."

Xavier rises out of the water to sit on the lip of the pool, he has his swim trunks on. "Well would you like me to go teach them a lesson?" He's not exactly one for violence but he knows that he can appear to be. "I'm glad your fine though, I haven't seen you in a while how have you been?"

At Xavier's offer to teach then a lesson Polana shakes her head, although the smile beginning to sneak up on her face is obvious. "Nah, one of them was drunk and appeared rather stupid while the other two were girls that are… well… I don't think they knew better." There is a pause where she lets out a small chuckle before continuing to say, "but other than that I've been pretty good. Saw Solan the other day, poor guy got thrust into the middle of an awkward situation. Oh, and I'm kinda excited about the recent goldflight, flights mean eggs after all."

Xavier smiles and nods, "Yes it does, it also means a lot of work around the weyr for common folk like myself. Though I'm interested in seeing the new candidates. It's always interesting when a new batch of people come to the weyr." He motions for Polana to come join him. "Come take a seat. No point in standing around all day right?"

He doesn't need to ask twice, the moment he gestures Polana moves over and sits next to him. After sitting down the blonde gives a shrug before commenting, "I remember that, I was a drudge for most of my life. But who knows, maybe you'll get a promotion! Oh, or you might even get searched!"

Xavier laughs smiling at the woman next to him. "Oh Polana, you have such fantasies and dreams. I'm a handyman and I'll always be a handyman. I am very unlikely to get searched anyway. I just don't think I have it in me. I wish, I could be one of the legendary dragonriders but I doubt it."

The smile on her face begins to fade at his words. Polana gives a small shake of her head before replying, "don't think like that. I was searched once, searched while I was a drudge. Handyman is a step up from drudge. And trust me, if /I/ can be searched /you/ certainly can." This is followed by a small, encouraging smile.

Xavier smiles at the woman, "Thank you Polana, those are kind words, I'll give you my trust in this case, but I still have my doubts. After all I am just a handyman." He laughs puting his hand to the back of his neck and rubbing it a bit.

Polana smiles back, actual warmth in her eyes for once. Her voice is a little quiet as she murmurs, "it was no problem. Anyway, I should be going to the private bathing chambers, need to take a bath." Without a word more she leans forward and plants a kiss on Xavier's cheek. She then stands up and scuttles off as fast as she can, a slight blush on her face.

Xavier smiles for a moment then suddenly a kiss on the cheek. Xavier's face going beet red as Polana scuttles away, He stands up and grabs his towel. "Have a good day Polana." As he walks away from the baths.
